Wendy’s (WEN) – Get Wendy’s Company Report In April, it swapped its popular 4 for sandwiches for $4, choosing sandwiches from the most popular offer.
Previously, Value Meals let customers choose between a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, a Crispy Chicken sandwich, a Doublestack (which had a Jr. Cheeseburger and two pies) or a Jr. Cheeseburger. Now, the fast food chain offers 4 little cheeseburgers for just $4.
That’s quite a change, and you can blame the rising costs on food, labor, and everything else. Wendy’s wants to maintain the $4 price point — a big deal for some of its customers — but it wants to push more people to the slightly higher price point.
To that end, the fast food giant is reviving its $5 Biggie Bag sale and making it attractive with $4 for $4.
It still offers the basic 4 for $4 – a Jr. Cheeseburger, a four-piece chicken nugget (crispy or spicy), a Jr. Fry and a value drink – but that’s what it’s selling for $4 The only value meal.
However, Wendy’s has added a $5 Biggie Bag that includes a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, a Double Stack, or a Crispy Chicken BLT to go with your 4 PC. Chicken nuggets, small fries and small drinks.
It’s still a strong value and can be compared with Restaurant Brands International’s competitor Burger King (QSR) – Get the Restaurant Brands International Inc report According to Chewboom, Chawboom has made major changes to its most popular value menu deals to deal with the situation.

Burger King changes 2 mix-and-matches for $5
Burger King has its own $5 deal that rivals Wendy’s Biggie Bag, 2 Mix n’ Matches for $5. This deal is slightly different from Wendy’s offer, as it is strictly for two main classes. It doesn’t come with fries and drinks.
The burger chain has it. However, the selection offered in Mix n’ Match has been expanded to include its popular chicken and fries. Now, for just $5, Burger King customers can choose from the following selections (choose two) :
King Sandwich Fish Sandwich Plain Chicken Sandwich Single Quarter Pound King Sandwich 9 Slices Fried Chicken
Burger King offers a $5 Your Way meal that includes Double Whopper Jr, 4 chicken nuggets, fries and a fountain drink. It also has a $10 Mix n’ Match duo that does include a small fries and a small drink, but it doesn’t currently list that promotion.
Burger King is protecting the Whopper
Burger King has always been aware of offering value, but made an effort not to include its most famous sandwiches in these deals. On the company’s fourth-quarter earnings call, Restaurant Brands CEO Jose Cil talked about not devaluing the Whopper.
“While we always strive to provide great value for money on a full menu basis, in the future we will choose to promote this iconic asset with purpose and purpose,” he said.
The CEO did make it very clear that value matters to Burger King.
“Value remains important to our guests and to the core of our business,” he said. “One of our key priorities is to build a strong value menu that will drive traffic, especially by creating a strong Have It Your Way value menu and addressing its rightful place in our overall menu architecture.”
