Synopsis
In the year-ago quarter, revenue and net profit growth was 17.5% and 23.8% respectively, benefitting largely by the low base in the June 2020 quarter which was affected by the first wave of the pandemic.
ETIG: The initial trend in the June quarter result season reveals rising cost pressure on companies resulting in decelerating profit growth on sequential basis though the year-on-year trend looks stable with double digit growth. A common sample of 73 companies that have declared results in each of the 13 quarters to June 2022 reported 9.5% sequential drop in net profit compared with 1.3% growth in the previous quarter. Net sales grew by 3.7%
