Gold falls Rs 114; silver declines Rs 136

Gold falls Rs 114; silver declines Rs 136


Gold prices in the capital fell 114 rupees to 50,561 rupees per 10 grams on Monday amid a drop in international precious metal prices, according to securities firms. In previous trades, gold settled at Rs 50,675 per 10 grams.

Silver also fell by Rs 136 to Rs 56,760 per kg from Rs 56,896 per kg in the previous session.

“Spot gold prices for 24-karat gold in Delhi fell by Rs 114 as the COMEX gold price fell,” said Tapan Patel, senior analyst (commodities) at HDFC Securities.

In international markets, gold was quoted as low as $1,737 an ounce, while silver was flat at $19.17 an ounce.
