NEW DELHI: Gold prices rose by Rs 6 to Rs 50,290 per 10 grams in the capital on Tuesday amid firming global trends, according to securities firms. In previous trades, gold settled at Rs 50,284 per 10 grams.

However, silver fell by Rs 137 to Rs 55,539 per kg from Rs 55,676 per kg in the previous session.

“Spot gold prices for 24-karat gold in Delhi were up Rs 6 per 10 grams, in line with COMEX gold prices,” said Tapan Patel, senior analyst (commodities) at HDFC Securities.

In international markets, gold rose to $1,711 an ounce, while silver was flat at $18.80 an ounce.
