Gold Rate: Gold drops Rs 293; silver tumbles Rs 1,075

Gold Rate: Gold drops Rs 293; silver tumbles Rs 1,075


Gold prices in the capital fell 293 rupees to 49,970 rupees per 10 grams on Friday as international precious metal prices fell, according to securities firms. In previous trades, gold settled at Rs 50,263 per 10 grams.

Silver also fell by Rs 1,075 to Rs 54,326 per kg from Rs 55,401 per kg in the previous session.

“The spot gold price for 24-karat gold in Delhi fell by Rs 293, reflecting the overnight fall in the COMEX gold price,” said Tapan Patel, senior analyst (commodities) at HDFC Securities.

On international markets, gold traded lower at $1,703 an ounce, while silver was flat at $18.23 an ounce.
