NEW DELHI: Gold prices in the capital plunged by Rs 745 to Rs 50,936 per 10 grams on Monday as international precious metal prices fell, according to data from HDFC Securities. In previous trades, the precious metal settled at Rs 51,681 per 10 grams.
Silver also fell by Rs 1,228 to Rs 63,028 per kg from Rs 64,256 per kg in the previous session.
In international markets, gold fell to $1,880 an ounce, while silver was flat at $22.62 an ounce.
“Gold prices are lower, with spot gold prices on COMEX down 0.85% to $1,880 an ounce on Monday. Gold prices fell on Monday, pressured by a stronger dollar and rising U.S. bond yields,” said Tapan Patel, senior commodities analyst, HDFC securities.
