Intel (INTC-US) today (11) announced the launch of new products such as the fourth-generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processor (code-named Sapphire Rapids). The center’s performance, efficiency, and security, and provide various new functions for AI, cloud, network, edge, supercomputer, etc. It is expected that Taiwan’s factory supply chain will also launch corresponding new products.

According to Intel, customers and partners who have adopted the fourth-generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processor in Taiwan include ADLINK (6166-TW), Advantech (2395-TW), Yingbang (3693-TW), Acer (2353-TW )’s Antus Technology, ASRock (3515-TW), Yongqing, ASUS (2357-TW), Compal (2324-TW), Gigabyte (2376-TW) and Tech Steel, Inventec (2356-TW) , Liduan (6245-TW), Pegatron (4938-TW), Quanta (2382-TW) Yunda (QCT), Wistron (3231-TW) and Wiwynn (6669-TW), etc.

In addition to launching the fourth-generation Intel Xeon scalable processor code-named Sapphire Rapids, Intel also simultaneously launched the Intel Xeon CPU Max series (code-named Sapphire Rapids HBM), Intel Data Center GPU Max series (code-named Ponte Vecchio), and the fourth-generation As Intel’s most sustainable data center processor, the Xeon processor will provide customers with a series of power and performance management functions to optimize the use of CPU resources.

Sandra Rivera, Intel’s executive vice president and general manager of the data center and AI business group, said that the launch of the fourth-generation Xeon scalable processors and Max series products is expected to continue Intel’s leading position in the data center field and at the same time enter new fields.

Intel says more than 100 million Xeon processors are now installed in the market, including internal servers that run IT services such as new as-a-service business models, and networks that manage Internet traffic. equipment, edge wireless base station computing, cloud services, etc.

Intel added that, compared to previous generations, fourth-generation Xeon processor customers will be able to expect an average 2.9x increase in performance per watt for targeted workloads when using the built-in accelerators, with minimal performance penalty in Optimized Power Mode , saving up to 70 watts per CPU and reducing TCO by 52-66%.

On the other hand, Huida (NVDA-US) also announced today that it will join hands with Intel to attack the server market. The partner will equip the system with the fourth-generation Xeon scalable processor equipped with NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPU, which is expected to provide Compared with the previous generation of products, it has better operating performance, scalability, and execution efficiency.
